This is me. Smiling so brightly at the top of Kilimanjaro's Baranco Wall, at 4160m high.

I'm Alice, a 23 year old French Londoner who fell in love with Africa the first time I laid foot on Namibian soil. I vowed I would come back…nothing gets my heart beating like an African sunrise, listening to the sounds of the bush as it awakens.

Nature break over city break anytime. I love being outside, and by that I mean in the middle of nowhere. On a mountain, on a beach, in a jungle... Exploring, hiking, climbing, swimming, riding.

I’m interested in telling conservation stories, that focus on conservation and development: how can conservation be linked to socio-economic wellbeing, in terms of education, security, health, infrastructure for local communities? Conservation isn’t just saving lions, and it’s about (re) connecting people with nature. Malawi, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African republic…beautiful projects happening all around, in remote and off the beaten track, that deserve to be in the spotlight.

Having graduated with a degree in Arts and Sciences at UCL, entirely focused on Sustainable Development, Wildlife Conservation, and Project Management, I’m now working freelance, writing articles and supporting conservation through photography and creative consulting. Proceeds from my print sales (50% after printing and handling) are donated to conservation projects; and all of my clients are sustainable and ethical enterprises that give back one way or another.
